The city has ranked among the top 100 cities in national innovation capability for the past two years and has been recognized as an exemplary city for industrial transformation and upgrading.

Through flexible hiring and project collaboration, Ordos has introduced six academician teams to fill gaps in top-tier talent. Through its "Warm City Invitation" talent brand, the city has attracted 1,132 urgently needed professionals in new energy, energy storage, and coal-based chemicals, strengthening its talent foundation for industrial development.

Ordos has continued to expand its high-level innovation platforms by establishing 12 new research institutions, six academician workstations, and three major industrial technology innovation alliances.
