Ordos, known as the "Cashmere Capital of China", has seen a remarkable boom in cashmere product exports of late.

From January to April, the export value of cashmere and its products from Ordos reached 120 million yuan ($17.68 million), marking a year-on-year increase of 140.2 percent, according to local customs authorities.

With an integrated industrial chain covering raw material collection, dehairing, spinning, high-end manufacturing, and foreign trade, Ordos produces over 10 million high-end cashmere products a year, supplying premium markets in Europe and the United States.

To facilitate this rapid growth, Ordos Customs has implemented streamlined customs clearance measures such as advance declaration and priority clearance, reducing the overall processing time.

The customs office also provides targeted policy guidance, including AEO facilitation measures and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) preferential tariff policies, helping local exporters enhance their global competitiveness.

"The tailored support from Ordos Customs has given us greater confidence in exploring high-end overseas markets," said a representative from Inner Mongolia Erdos International Trading Co.
