Ordos shines at Seoul International Travel Fair

Ordos' tourist attractions made a strong impression at the 41st Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF 2026).

The globally influential tourism event attracted institutions and enterprises from many countries and regions. Led by the Culture and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Whistling Dune Bay, Ordos Grassland, and Yinkentala Tourist Area took center stage at the "Hello, China" exhibition zone.

Distinctive cultural and tourism products, including the Ordos wedding performance and eco-tourism experiences, were introduced to South Korea's travel industry and the general public. Visitors were invited to explore Ordos' unique blend of desert landscapes, grassland culture and local traditions.

In 2025, Ordos made significant efforts to boost inbound tourism, receiving 51,000 inbound visitors. Among them, 20,512 arrived on 122 chartered flights, including 11,737 South Korean visitors on 83 flights. The average flight occupancy rate reached 78 percent, with flights from Incheon averaging 98 percent.

In addition to the three attractions featured at this year's fair, key sites such as Ordos Cultural Industry Park and Subohan Grassland are also popular among South Korean visitors.

Ordos will continue to explore the South Korean tourism market and attract more visitors from the country by offering richer products and higher-quality services.
