Recently, the temporary land use application for the Su 49-36-98X and 11 Other Well Sites Involving 21 Natural Gas Wells (geological exploration and oil-gas extraction project) submitted by the Third Gas Production Plant of Changqing Oilfield Branch, PetroChina Co, via the Otog Front Banner Natural Resources Bureau, was approved by the Ordos Natural Resources Bureau.

The project is located across several Gachas (villages) in Otog Front Banner, including Aolezhaoqi Gacha, Tabantaolegao Gacha, and Yikewusu Gacha in Aolezhaoqi Town, as well as Minggai Gacha and Kulve Gacha in Angsu Town. The total approved temporary land area is 12.4373 hectares.

With a total investment of 171.05 million yuan (＄23.76 million), the project involves constructing 11 natural gas well sites, 21 single and cluster wells, 11 temporary living quarters, and 11 oil-gas access roads. Upon completion, the project will play a significant role in implementing national energy development strategies. It will not only enhance energy supply security and promote innovation and application of clean energy technologies but also help optimize regional energy distribution, providing solid support for the country's sustainable economic development.
