A major project supporting the new energy materials sector has been officially approved in the Dalad Economic Development Zone. Inner Mongolia Changxin Keyuan New Material Co has received project filing approval from the Dalad Banner Development and Reform Commission for its 100,000-ton-per-year NMP and 10,000-ton-per-year nano conductive agent recycling facility.
The project will be built within the company's existing plant site in the development zone, with a total investment of 80 million yuan ($11 million). By recovering and purifying NMP aqueous solutions to produce finished NMP, and combining it with self-manufactured carbon nanotubes to prepare nano conductive agents, the facility is set to supply critical supporting materials for the lithium battery and energy storage industries.
Adopting a resource-circulation model, the project not only enables efficient recovery of waste solvents but also reduces emissions, delivering both economic and environmental benefits. It represents a key step in the development zone's efforts to improve the new energy and new materials industrial chain and promote green, low-carbon development.
Moving forward, the Dalad Economic Development Zone will continue to enhance its business environment by offering proactive, full-process support to the company. Authorities will assist in obtaining necessary permits for environmental impact, energy use, and safety reviews, while addressing construction challenges in a timely manner. These efforts aim to accelerate project commencement and completion, injecting fresh momentum into the high-quality development of the region's new energy sector.
