The Ministry of Education has recently announced the 2025 list of "Basic Education High-Quality Lessons." A total of 23 courses from Ordos City have been selected, accounting for 26.7% of Inner Mongolia's total—the highest among all cities in the region.
The selection process involved four levels of review: school, county, city, and autonomous region, followed by expert evaluations organized by the Ministry of Education. Ordos produced 1,777 city-level high-quality lessons. From these, 53 were submitted to the autonomous region and were recognized as regional-level high-quality lessons, representing 22% of the region's total submissions to the Ministry of Education. Ultimately, 86 lessons from the entire autonomous region were selected as national-level high-quality lessons, 23 of which came from Ordos.
The selected lessons from Ordos cover all five categories: subject courses, experimental teaching, special education, artificial intelligence (AI) education, and reading. Ordos performed particularly well in the newly added AI education and reading categories, with 3 and 5 lessons respectively being selected at the national level—accounting for 33.3% and 41.7% of the region's total in those categories.
