24,615 visits! That’s the single-day guest reception performance of Whistling Dune Bay Tourist Area on May 3, which enjoyed a 6.67 percent growth compared with the same day last year and set a historical record.

Faced with this record-breaking workload, the tourist site ensured efficient operation and meticulous services. It upgraded its whole-chain service and support system and optimized peak-hour passenger flow control. As a result, queuing time was cut down, and on-site guidance and aid were readily available.

What deserves special praise is its ecological parking lot, which significantly eased traffic jams. Funded by the local government, it covers an area of 354 mu (23.6 hectares) and boasts 3,686 parking spaces, of which 686 are equipped with charging facilities.

Listed among China’s 5A tourist sites, Whistling Dune Bay is the hottest spot in the Kubuqi Desert. Apart from its signature singing sands, this tourist area converges sightseeing, merry-making, folk-custom experiences, and leisure vacation. Its elaborate layout of “five islands plus a port” enables harmonious coordination: vacation at Liansha Island, amusement at Xiansha Island, and cultural activities at Yuesha Island. Sand surfing, camel riding, and sand cruises all lead to sincere laughter and wonderful memories.
