On April 2, the Chengchuan Natural Gas Comprehensive Utilization Project in Otog Front Banner officially received approval from the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This key milestone marks a major breakthrough in the project's preliminary work and signals its imminent transition into the substantive construction phase, laying a solid foundation for regional energy structure optimization and the assurance of local energy supply.
The project is planned to be built in Midiangliang Gacha, Chengchuan Town, Otog Front Banner, with a total investment of 73 million yuan. It will cover an area of 2.61 hectares and is designed to receive and process 500,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day.
The project focuses on the efficient processing of natural gas throughout the entire process, with construction covering two major components: process facilities and auxiliary supporting facilities. This includes one auxiliary building for daily operations, equipment maintenance, and office work. The process facilities comprise: 10 gas unloading columns and CNG cylinder trailer parking spaces; core equipment such as CNG decompression skids, compressor skids, metering skids, pressure-regulating skids, and separators; two sets of natural gas purification and treatment equipment including desulfurization, decarbonization, and drying units; and a pipeline transmission area with a trading metering skid, online analyzer system, and auxiliary power system. Together, these will form an integrated and stable operation capability for natural gas receiving, purification, pressure regulation, and transmission.
Upon completion, the project will effectively address shortcomings in the regional comprehensive utilization of natural gas, enhance energy supply resilience, meet the production and living gas demands of Chengchuan Town and surrounding areas, and support green and low-carbon development. At the same time, the project will drive upgrades in related industries and inject new momentum into high-quality local economic development.
