A culture and tourism promotion fair themed around Yellow River fish was held March 18–20 in Guannianfang Village, Dalad Banner. On the opening day, alongside lively art performances and an exquisite paper-cutting exhibition, the signature fish banquet drew visitors in with its irresistible aroma.
The fish—among the first caught after the Yellow River fully thawed this spring—promised exceptional freshness and texture. Slowly simmered in large iron pots, the flavors melded perfectly, their fragrance drifting far and wide. The meal was served with fried millet cakes and glass noodle soup, two beloved local dishes that delighted the taste buds and warmed the heart.

Through this experience, the host hopes to bring Yellow River culture to life. "We want visitors to see, taste, and feel our culture—and take a piece of Dalad Banner home with them," said Wang Zijie, deputy director of the banner’s culture and tourism development center.
The three-day event connects cultural heritage with rural tourism revitalization. More vibrant and distinctive cultural tourism activities are planned to further this cause.
