Autumn grain procurement is underway in Shi'erliancheng township, Juungar Banner. Collaboration between Mengshang Bank and local agricultural enterprises has streamlined grain purchasing operations and helped local farmers raise their incomes.

Juungar Leyu Commercial and Trade Co, a local grain procurement and storage enterprise, secured a loan of over 9.7 million yuan ($1.45 million) from Mengshang Bank. The funding allowed the company to speed up its grain purchases. It has bought roughly 10,000 metric tons of corn since it started the autumn corn procurement season on Oct 8.

Grain transport trucks continuously move in and out of its warehouse yard. Wu Fei, the company's manager, noted the bank's financial support made the procurement process faster and more convenient.

The company's mechanized grain drying, screening and storage lines now operate at full capacity. Its facility has a total storage capacity of nearly 80,000 tons and a daily drying capacity of 800 tons. The enterprise also offers grain storage services for local farmers. This service lets farmers hold grain and sell it at a more favorable time to protect their earnings. The company plans to expand its service chain to connect efficient grain procurement and storage with stable sales channels.

Wu said grain procurement and storage form its core business, and the firm aims to support local farmers through this work.

Separately, Mengshang Bank has extended rural financial services to village communities. At the cultural square in Wujiayao village, bank staff members held briefings on financial products alongside local cultural performances. The relaxed setting encouraged many villagers to open accounts and learn about available financial services.

So far this year, the Ordos branch of Mengshang Bank has issued more than 30 million yuan in agricultural loans within Juungar Banner, delivering stable financial backing for farmers and agricultural businesses.

Shi'erliancheng township is a major agricultural hub in Juungar Banner. This year's strong grain output relies on coordinated support from local government, banks and agricultural firms, especially financial funding and grain-purchasing capacity.
