Yamaton (Ordos) New Materials Co has commenced operations of its photovoltaic new materials project in the Juungar Economic Development Zone in Ordos. The project, with a total investment of 300 million yuan ($44.33 million), spans 72,000 square meters and boasts an annual production capacity of 120 million sq m of photovoltaic materials.

The project has already seen robust demand, securing substantial orders from leading companies such as JA Solar and LONGi amounting to 2.8 million sq m in total. The project has also established long-term sales agreements with these enterprises.

A highlight of the project is its ability to achieve a "closed-loop" production process within the photovoltaic industry. It integrates raw material production, advanced processing, and component manufacturing into a cohesive supply chain, effectively addressing a critical gap in the local photovoltaic industry.

Once fully operational, the project is expected to boast an annual power generation capacity of 42 GW and generate an annual output value of 2 billion yuan. By 2027, the company plans to add five more production lines, potentially doubling the annual output value to 4 billion yuan. It aims to become a leader in photovoltaic glass production and sales in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, supporting the region's high-quality renewable energy development.
