The 2026 Inner Mongolia Tourism Development Conference is ongoing in Ordos from July 10 to 11, featuring on-site meetings and field tours along tourist routes.

A series of concurrent events will also be held, including performances, a cuisine-themed "Tastes of Inner Mongolia" event, and sales of intangible cultural heritage works under "Crafts of Inner Mongolia" and cultural and creative products under "Gifts of Inner Mongolia". Further events include exchanges and matchmaking for national tourism projects, the Autumn-Winter Tourism Product Purchasers Conference, and the tourism consumption season "Enjoy the Splendid Golden Season, Explore Inner Mongolia".

Attendees will include specially invited experts and scholars, representatives of key tourism enterprises and financial and investment institutions, and delegates from tourism authorities of major domestic source markets and countries including South Korea, Russia, Mongolia and Singapore. Other attendees include heads of government and tourism departments of all leagues and cities, as well as journalists from various media outlets.

Hosted by the Inner Mongolia People's Government and co-organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Inner Mongolia and the Ordos municipal people's government, the conference aims to foster a strong sense of national community. It will focus on using the autonomous region's cultural and tourism resources to improve service quality, clarify development paths, and transform the region into a world-famous all-season tourism destination.
