Recently, significant progress has been made on the Natural Gas Gate Station Project at the Shanghai Temple Energy and Chemical Base in Otog Front Banner. On April 27, the project's Land Pre-examination and Site Selection Opinion Letter was officially approved by the Otog Front Banner Natural Resources Bureau, marking a phased breakthrough in the project's preliminary work.
The project is located in Shanghaimiao Town, Otog Front Banner, with a total investment of 2 million yuan ($276,000) and a land area of 0.2015 hectares. The construction content mainly includes: a new unmanned station and auxiliary facilities, a companion IoT monitoring system, improved safety protection facilities, and reserved future access ports to fully support the park's future gas expansion needs.
The project adopts a direct natural gas supply model, effectively reducing intermediate links, significantly lowering energy costs for enterprises in the park, further optimizing the business environment, and enhancing the region's attractiveness for investment.
According to the introduction, the project will have an annual gas transmission capacity of 20 million cubic meters upon completion, with an estimated annual reduction of approximately 760,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. This will strongly promote the green and low-carbon development of the Shanghai Temple Energy and Chemical Base and provide solid support for achieving the "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" goals.
