Inner Mongolia Jiutai New Materials Technology Co has officially put its Flare Gas Comprehensive Recovery and Utilization Project into operation, marking the region's first-ever facility of its kind that converts flare gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The project represents an investment of approximately 60 million yuan ($8.3 million). It is designed to produce 12,000 tons of LNG and 6,000 tons of liquefied ethylene gas (LEG) annually.

Based on current market prices of around 4,500 yuan ($620 USD) per ton, the plant is expected to generate over 70 million yuan ($9.7 million USD) in annual economic benefits. In addition, the project will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by roughly 100,000 tons each year, demonstrating a strong balance between industrial profitability and environmental responsibility.
