The School of New Energy at Inner Mongolia University of Technology officially opened in Ordos' Kangbashi district this fall semester, establishing the city's first comprehensive higher education institution that offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. The school aims to bolster the city's new energy sector with skilled talent and innovative momentum.

As of Sept 5, the School of New Energy welcomed a total of 1,322 students, including 1,142 undergraduates, 173 master's students, and 7 doctoral candidates, along with 108 faculty and staff members. Student management, teaching, daily operations, and life services are running efficiently and effectively.

The School's campus spans 500 mu (33 hectares), with a planned total building area of 250,000 square meters. The first phase of construction, covering 176,000 square meters, is complete. The campus features well-planned facilities for teaching, research, practical training, cultural and sports activities, and living services, providing a comprehensive infrastructure to support high-level talent development, cutting-edge research, and industry-academia collaboration.

The college's opening not only expands educational opportunities in Ordos but also strengthens the city's capacity for innovation and sustainable development in the new energy field.
