Built by Zhunxin Semiconductor Technology (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd., the project broke ground in 2025 and was completed in just over half a year. It has established an intelligent production line with an annual capacity of 1 million 6‑inch silicon‑based chips, focusing on the core wafer‑manufacturing stage of integrated circuits.
The chips will be widely used in new‑energy vehicles, industrial control, wind‑solar‑storage power systems, computing servers and other strategic fields.
As a flagship high‑tech project under Jungar Banner’s “518” industrial development strategy, the facility is not only a technical breakthrough but also represents a shift in the local growth model. Acting as an “industrial‑chain leader,” it is expected to attract upstream suppliers such as electronic‑grade silicon wafer and specialty gas producers, helping to build a complete semiconductor ecosystem and foster new quality productive forces in the autonomous region.
“This is not only a major milestone for our company in Inner Mongolia, but also a landmark achievement under Jungar Banner’s ‘518’ strategy,” said Chen Liang, administration manager of Zhunxin Semiconductor. “We will continue to focus on technological innovation and aim to become a benchmark enterprise in domestic industrial and automotive‑grade semiconductors.”
With the production line now fully debugged and in operation, the project is set to provide crucial support for Jungar Banner’s transition from a traditional energy base to a high‑tech industrial hub, injecting new momentum into the region’s high‑quality development.
