Recently, a new addition has arrived in the self-service area of the Dongsheng District Government Service Hall in Ordos—the “Intelligent Self-Service Terminal.” Compact yet fully functional, it allows users to independently complete procedures for setting up or canceling individual businesses. It also supports self-service printing of licenses and documents such as business licenses, food operation permits, small catering registration certificates, small workshop production permits, prepackaged food filing forms, electronic archival records, and individual business cancellation notices. This achieves a one-stop solution for both “business processing and license/document printing.”

Mr. Wu became the first resident to try out the intelligent self-service terminal. With assistance from staff in the self-service area, he completed the cancellation of his individual business license in just five minutes using the terminal. After finishing, Mr. Wu praised the experience: “No need to take a number and wait in line—just a few steps on the self-service machine, and it was done quickly and conveniently!”

In recent years, Dongsheng District has focused on high-frequency, widely applicable matters and actively explored smart approval service models. The newly introduced “Intelligent Self-Service Terminal” breaks down data barriers across departmental systems, retrieves property information for business addresses, verifies tax clearance details online, and automatically publishes announcements of business license invalidation. This makes Dongsheng the first in the autonomous region to achieve “unmanned intervention and instant approval” for the establishment and cancellation of individual businesses. Moving forward, Dongsheng District will continue to enhance the experience for businesses and residents, starting with key minor matters to drive continuous optimization and improvement in government service efficiency—making procedures more convenient and efficient for all.
