Ordos city, a key national energy and strategic resource base, achieved high-quality development and steady transformation in 2025, charting a new chapter in its high-quality transition as a resource-based city.

The city made significant strides towards its "dual carbon" goals, establishing a comprehensive "wind-solar-hydrogen-storage-vehicle" industrial cluster. The total installed capacity of new energy was expanded, with green electricity resources facilitating the green transformation of the coal chemical industry.

A breakthrough technology initiative was implemented, with the Technology New Policy 2.0 launched and over 1.6 billion yuan ($229.34 million) disbursed. The city established the Ordos Talent and Innovation Center, along with talent and innovation hubs in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Xiong'an. 

Ordos continuously optimized its business environment by introducing over 1,200 reform measures, developing targeted assistance mechanisms and implementing efficient approval model. The city also carried out over 10 major actions to support enterprises facing challenges, earning recognition as the "2025 Investment Attraction City" and "2025 Investment Environment Quality City".

The new talent policies were fully implemented to attract high-level, innovative, and leading talent. The city explored innovative mechanisms for delivering talent policies like smart review and instant approval, significantly improving talent services. Ordos was thus recognized as one of the first "2025 Employment-Friendly Cities" nationwide.

Looking ahead, Ordos will continue to drive industrial transformation and innovation, striving to achieve new milestones in high-quality development over the next five years.
