The value of imports and exports passing through Ordos' Ejin Horo Airport Port has exceeded 20 million yuan ($2.86 million) for the first time, according to Ordos Customs.
The growth is attributed to streamlined customs procedures designed to support local businesses. Measures include conducting advance declaration and appointment-based clearance to reduce port dwell time, and establishing a green channel for perishables like chilled fruits, enabling immediate inspection and release. Customized clearance plans have also been implemented for cross-border e-commerce goods and industrial parts.
This year, Ordos launched a cargo route to Bangkok, which has provided a new growth avenue for logistics companies. "Customs services have been highly efficient, and the new route has opened up new business opportunities," said Liu Wei, general manager of Shengxiang (Ordos) International Freight Forwarding Co.

"The steady operation of international cargo flights reflects strong momentum in Ordos' foreign trade," said Tao Zengbo, deputy director of Ordos Customs. He added that customs will continue to optimize clearance processes to further enhance the port's role in advancing regional opening-up and high-quality development.
