Ordos recently saw 11 of its agricultural products make the list of the 2025 third batch of nationally recognized premium agricultural products announced by the Center of Agro-products Safety and Quality of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

To date, Ordos has had a total of 88 products included in the national directory of premium agricultural products. These encompass a wide variety of categories, including fruits, vegetables, beef, lamb, grains, dairy, and aquatic products.

The newly recognized 11 products are noted for their distinct regional characteristics and unique nutritional qualities, enjoying high public recognition and acclaim. These include Juungar Banner's silver carp, Dalad Banner's chili peppers and fried rice, Dongsheng district's yogurt, Hanggin Banner’s cashmere, and Uxin Banner's eggs, among others.

In recent years, Ordos has used its unique regional resources and agricultural base, focusing on developing specialty agricultural and livestock products as a key strategy to drive agricultural transformation and upgrade, thereby increasing farmers' and herders' incomes.

By integrating quality agricultural and livestock resources, enhancing quality safety supervision, and improving brand marketing systems, Ordos has cultivated a range of regionally distinctive, high-quality green agricultural and livestock products. These efforts have effectively advanced the intensive, standardized, and branded development of the specialty agriculture and livestock industry, boosting agricultural efficiency and economic growth.
