The Ordos leg of the 12th National Mass Ice and Snow Season was launched on Dec 14 at the Jiuchenggong International Ski Resort in Dongsheng district.

The event began with two major competitions: the Snowboard Giant Slalom and Alpine Skiing Giant Slalom. On-site, a variety of ice challenges, including ice dragon boat races and ice shaga contests, drew enthusiastic participation from tourists and local residents.

The ice and snow season will run until March 2026. Throughout this period, a series of winter activities will unfold, including an ice and snow Naadam Fair, two leagues, eight exciting races, and 17 sub-events. These activities aim to engage more people in winter sports, igniting a new wave of enthusiasm for such activities in Ordos.
