Ordos has announced a new policy to incentivize new residents to register their marriages. Effective immediately, new residents who register their marriage in Ordos will receive a 1,000 yuan ($141) credit in "Duo Duo Ping" points. These points are specifically designated for use with partner wedding photography businesses on the "Duo Duo Ping" platform.

Eligibility Criteria

The term "new residents" refers to individuals who have moved to Ordos for reasons such as employment or entrepreneurship and have either not yet obtained Ordos household registration or have had it for less than three years. This group includes, but is not limited to, migrant workers, recent graduates, newly recruited professionals, and recently discharged military personnel.

Application and Distribution Process

Marriage Registration: New residents must legally register their marriage at any marriage registration office in Ordos.

Application Form: After registration, they can voluntarily fill out the "Ordos New Resident Marriage Registration Reward Application Form" at the registration office. Each couple is eligible to receive the reward once.

Review and Announcement: The information related to the marriage registration reward will be submitted to the banner-level civil affairs department for review. Once reviewed, the results will be publicly announced.

Reward Distribution: Following the announcement, the banner-level civil affairs department will report the results to the Ordos Digital City Technology Co. The company will then distribute the 1,000 yuan "Duo Duo Ping" points according to the approved list.
