The 2025 "China Education Strong District Index Report" has placed Kangbashi district of Ordos in the prestigious "Pioneer" tier, the highest level in the national ranking of educational districts. Kangbashi is the only district in central and western China to achieve this status, highlighting its leadership in educational development across the country.

The report underscores Kangbashi's robust momentum and comprehensive strengths in high-quality basic education. Among the five core evaluation dimensions, the district excelled in education quality and innovation, scoring an impressive 97.21 and 98.40, respectively, nearing perfect scores. Additionally, the education equity index reached 96.61, while the education scale and efficiency indices were 84.31 and 83.77, respectively, illustrating a well-rounded and high-quality educational framework.

Specifically, Kangbashi ranks second nationally in preschool, compulsory, and general high school education indices, achieving high-quality coordinated development across all levels.

As a model for rapid educational advancement in western China, Kangbashi has systematically developed a practical path focusing on "Good Schools, Good Principals, Good Teachers, a Good Environment, and a Good Future". This approach has consistently delivered outstanding results over three consecutive years of evaluations, offering a replicable "Kangbashi Model" for educational development in emerging cities across central and western China.
