The 2025 BRICS Skills Challenge – Rural Vitalization Entrepreneurship Simulation Competition International Finals kicked off at the Ordos Vocational College of Eco-Environment in Ordos on Nov 15.
During the opening ceremony, Chen Taowei, director of the Mechanism Work Division II of the Ministry of Education's Center for International People-to-People Exchange, and Felipe Morgado, chairperson of the BRICS Business Council's Working Group on Skills Development, Applied Technology, and Innovation, addressed the audience via video. They congratulated the participants on the opening of the competition and expressed high hopes for the competitors.
The competition aims to foster close cooperation and cultural exchange in vocational education among BRICS countries. The opening ceremony was live-streamed, attracting nearly 100 participants online, while about 1,000 attendees were present in person. This year, 58 teams are competing, including 10 international teams and 48 domestic teams.
The Rural Vitalization Entrepreneurship Simulation Competition focuses on core skills in family farm management, integrating ideological education, policy interpretation, and risk management to provide a practical platform for cultivating high-quality rural vitalization talents.
Since its inception in 2022, the BRICS Skills Challenge has successfully been hosted three times, drawing over 6,800 international teams from countries like Brazil, Russia, and India, as well as more than 21,000 Chinese teams. Its wide reach and significant impact have established it as one of the most influential and pioneering events in the field.
