The People's Government of Dalad Banner and Dalad Economic Development Zone entered into an investment agreement with Shandong Baolai-leelai Bioengineering Co on Aug 4, injecting momentum into the building of a new pattern for the entire modern agriculture industry chain.

Under the agreement, two agricultural chemical product projects will be launched, namely a nitrogen soil conditioner production line with an annual capacity of 700,000 metric tons and a U protein production line with an annual output of 230,000 tons. The nitrogen soil conditioner is designed to enhance soil fertility and thereby improve crop quality, while the U protein will serve as an alternative to soybean meal, helping reduce costs for local animal husbandry operations.

Baolai-leelai Bioengineering, the contractor of the projects, is China's largest supplier of microecological preparations for agriculture and animal husbandry and a provider of modern high-efficiency agricultural solutions. The company is undertaking a number of key national projects and possesses a world-leading strain resource bank in the industry.

The projects are expected to play a significant role in safeguarding food security, improving cost-effectiveness in animal husbandry, and controlling agricultural non-point source pollution.
