Located in Engebei town, Dalad Banner, the project spans approximately 1,100 mu (73 hectares) and has a total investment of 11.2 billion yuan ($1.56 billion). It is being invested in and constructed by five companies, including Inner Mongolia Zhongdian Energy Storage Technology Co and Envision Group. It involves seven sub-projects and is projected to be put into operation by December 30.

The project will employ various technological approaches, including lithium-iron-phosphate, molten-salt energy storage, and all-vanadium flow battery technologies. It is expected to deliver 3.6 billion kilowatt-hours of clean energy power to the grid annually, with an estimated annual revenue of 1.8 billion yuan and tax revenue exceeding 250 million yuan.

The project will significantly enhance the peak-shaving and frequency regulation capabilities of western Inner Mongolia's power grids, promoting wind and photovoltaic power consumption and helping establish Inner Mongolia as a national energy and strategic resource base.
