The project, located in Qipanjing town, Otog Banner, has a total installed capacity of 300,000 kilowatts, consisting of 48 wind turbines with a single unit capacity of 6.25 megawatts. It is equipped with a 4.5 million kW×4-hour new energy storage system, creating a "wind-storage synergy" smart energy model. The project is expected to generate 870 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, saving approximately 260,000 metric tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by around 710,000 tons.
As the first off-grid wind power project in Inner Mongolia, this project adopts a new "green power + industry" collaborative development model. The generated electricity is connected to the substation within the Ordos Economic Development Zone through a 220-kilovolt overhead line, directly supplying green power to enterprises in the development zone.
Through the "source-grid-load-storage" collaborative control technology, this project can achieve 100 percent green power consumption, providing a replicable solution for high-proportion renewable energy consumption and promoting the large-scale development of new power systems.
