The agreements span the full cashmere industry chain – from raw material procurement to high-end finished products – highlighting Ordos' growing integration into global markets and its push toward standardization and internationalization.
Ordos currently boasts over 6.9 million cashmere goats and produces more than 3,500 metric tons of raw cashmere annually. This accounts for 58.7 percent of Inner Mongolia’s output, 25 percent of China's, and 15 percent of the global total.
With an annual production of over 10 million cashmere products, Ordos remains the prefecture-level city with the largest number of cashmere goats and the highest cashmere output in China, as well as the world's largest production base of high-quality cashmere and cashmere products.
