Ordos Green Energy Technology Co's isolated 2,000 megawatts new energy power generation project was approved on April 3.

The project involves a total investment of 9.92 billion yuan ($1.36 billion) and consists of a 2,000 MW wind farm and three 220 kilovolt booster stations. It will supply green energy to Erdos Group's silicon power cogeneration project and Erdos EJM Manganese Alloy Co's manganese alloy project.

It is expected to generate 5.63 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and reduce standard coal consumption by 1.7 million metric tons, carbon dioxide emission by 4.63 million tons, and sulfur dioxide by 4.34 million tons.

The project will ease local pressure to control the volume and intensity of energy consumption and is significant to optimizing regional economic and industrial structure, promoting green economy transformation, and achieving sustainable development goals.
