After Juungar Banner's first batch of sea buckthorn juice sold out in the US, the second batch began to be bottled and shipped by Inner Mongolia Guojihua Food Technology Co on March 27 .

In the company's production workshop, the fully automatic intelligent production line is running at full speed. After multiple processes such as screening, cleaning, high-temperature sterilization, and fresh juice extraction, the fresh sea buckthorn juice is filled, labeled in English, and packed. This batch of 4,200 cases of sea buckthorn juice is expected to arrive at the port of Los Angeles in about a month.

In October 2024, the company obtained its registration and certification from the US Food and Drug Administration. On Dec 25, the company shipped 4,000 cases of sea buckthorn juice to the US.
As the world's first sea buckthorn drink to enter the US market, it was sold out within just two months after arriving in Los Angeles in February. "Sea buckthorn is new to the US, and it became popular due to its natural nutritional profile, which is in line with local health concepts," said Zhuang Jianming, the company's deputy general manager.
According to Yun Tiezhu, the company's general manager, the company has invested 230 million yuan ($31.51 million) to build this full industrial chain project in the Juungar Economic Development Zone. It consumes over 1,000 metric tons of sea buckthorn fruits annually.

Data shows that the land area used for sea buckthorn planting in Ordos has exceeded 1.2 million mu (80,000 hectares). Vast forested areas greatly help keep desertification under control in Ordos, conserve water resources, and bring ecological benefits to the people through industrial development.
