The project covers an area of approximately 115 mu (7.67 hectares) with a total investment of around 1 billion yuan ($137.7 million). It will be implemented in two phases, with the first phase expected to receive 740 million yuan in investment.
The project adopts the most advanced domestic "Five-Step" flue gas treatment system and its emission standards will exceed national standards. It is expected to be put into operation and connected to the grid in April 2026.
It will process 1,000 metric tons of domestic waste and generate 400,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity daily.
The project fills a major gap in the waste-to-energy sector and effectively processes household waste from the city's other regions, including Dongsheng district, Ejin Horoo Banner, and Dala Banner. This will promote the city's transition from simple landfill disposal to waste reduction and harmless treatment, achieving both economic and ecological benefits.
