Dalad Banner's State-owned Huida Energy Group has signed an agreement with Juhuang New Material Technology Co, a national high-tech enterprise in Zhengzhou, Henan province, to jointly invest in a silica precursor production project in the banner.

Designed with an annual production capacity of 20,000 metric tons, the project is divided into two phases: the first is expected to be implemented at the end of this year and the second by 2027.

Silicous oxide is an excellent anode material precursor for lithium-ion batteries. Widely used in many fields, such as new energy vehicles and energy storage, it boasts high energy density and superior charge-discharge performance, which can substantially improve batteries' overall performance.

Given the material's promising market prospect and great strategic significance, this agreement is important for Dalad Banner's industries. It will vitalize building the banner's fluorine silicon new material industrial cluster, further improve the new energy industry chain, and enhance risk resistance and competitiveness.
