During the Chinese New Year holiday, a significant surge in demand for meat and dairy products brought a peak in egg sales to the egg-laying chicken farm in Buzhai village, Galutu town, Uxin Banner in Ordos, with a daily production of 30,000 eggs. Behind this massive output is the adoption of a scientifically advanced breeding model.
The intelligent transmission system at Ordos Siwulu Agriculture and Husbandry Development Co's egg-laying chicken farm operates with remarkable efficiency, swiftly transporting fresh eggs to the packaging workshop. The eggs undergo rigorous sorting and quality control procedures, each marked with the "Honggalu Egg" brand logo and the production date. This ensures comprehensive traceability throughout the supply chain and provides consumers with confidence in the product's safety and origin.
Since production commenced in April 2024, "Honggalu Egg" has entered the markets of Uxin Banner and Hanggin Banner, achieving consistent daily production and sales, according to Gao Wanxin, the company's managing director. During the Chinese New Year holiday, market demand substantially increased, leading to a significant rise in the farm's new year orders.

In 2023, Buzhai village invested in constructing a 101-mu (6.73 hectares) egg-laying chicken farm, partnering with specialized breeding enterprises. This endeavor established an integrated egg-laying chicken breeding industrial chain that combines the village collective economy, leading enterprises, and local farmers.
To guarantee superior egg quality, the farm allocated over 1 million yuan ($137,500) to introduce advanced domestic automated breeding production lines. Only two staff members must monitor the chickens' feeding, water intake, and egg-laying processes in real time. With this scientific breeding model, the egg-laying rate is stable between 93 and 94 percent, reaching up to 98 percent during peak periods.
This farm produces about 28,000 eggs daily, for an annual output exceeding 10 million eggs, or approximately 600 metric tons. Daily sales are over 17,500 yuan, and annual sales exceed 6 million yuan. Under stable market conditions, the annual net income can exceed 1 million yuan while also contributing 80,000 yuan to the collective economic income of Buzhai village.

The development of this egg-laying chicken farm has allowed local farmers and herders to truly benefit from the dividends brought by industrial development during the holiday. This scientific breeding model ensures the town's egg supply and boosts the income of surrounding farmers and herders, becoming a new highlight of local industrial development.
