The production line, jointly built by Inner Mongolia Yidong Dongyan Technology Co and Inner Mongolia University, is a key technological project in Juungar Banner.

As a highly effective coal gas cleaner, NHD is widely used by coal chemical enterprises to capture CO₂ and H₂S in desulfurization and decarbonization. However, changes in international markets lead to fluctuations in its supply chain, which can cause problems for the coal chemical industry's production. Backed by materials from Yidong's circular industry chain and new preparation techniques co-developed by the company and the university, the production line emerged as a solution.

This pilot-scale experimental project involved a total investment of 6 million yuan ($828,000) and boasts an expected annual production capacity of 1,000 metric tons and a production value of 20 million yuan. It was the only key technological project listed by Juungar Banner's industry, information and technology bureau in 2023, receiving a subsidy fund of 3 million.

The project will effectively address the shortage of desulfurization and decarbonization solutions in Inner Mongolia's coal chemical industry, driving the industry's development to a new level.
