Kangbashi district in Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, plans to replace all 18 bus stops on Ordos Street with smart bus shelters. Ten shelters have been completed so far, with the remaining ones expected to be finished by December.

The smart bus shelter, powered by solar energy, is equipped with advanced features, including an intelligent stop announcement system, a real-time monitoring system, a 98-inch LCD touch-enabled interactive screen, and an intelligent electronic stop board. These features are designed to provide passengers with real-time travel information.
In addition, the bus shelter boasts a closed waiting room with heating and cooling systems, heated seating, and a one-touch alarm system. It also features night-scape lighting, an accessible pathway for persons with disabilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, a first aid kit, and an unmanned vending machine, all of which aim to provide passengers with more comfortable and convenient services.
