In Otog Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, a zero-carbon and dust-free smart logistics project owned by KargoBot Technology Co is becoming a new benchmark for promoting the green and intelligent development of the logistics industry with its excellent technologies and innovative business model.

Ordos is rich in natural resources and has a huge logistics market, which is ripe for cost reductions and efficiency increases. Based on the characteristics of the bulk freight business in Ordos, KargoBot innovatively proposed the L4-level mixed intelligent truck fleet, in which the pilot vehicle is manned and the following vehicle is unmanned. This innovation not only effectively reduces logistics costs and energy consumption, but also greatly improves the efficiency and safety of freight transportation.

The KargoBot Autonomous Driving Research & Development (R&D) and Operation Center is equipped with 200 parking spaces for new energy heavy trucks, and features four functional areas, including an AI innovation R&D center and a R&D trial production center.

In addition, the X6000, H6000 and X5000e autonomous driving models jointly launched by KargoBot and Shaanxi Automobile have passed the appearance announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, becoming the only heavy truck models in China that have complete L4-level capabilities and can be operated on the road.

KargoBot has fully digitized the information of autonomous driving fleets, goods, transportation capacity resources and energy supply, and used data processing and intelligent scheduling capabilities to achieve accurate matching of transportation demand and transportation capacity resources. Overall transportation efficiency has been increased by an average of 10 percent, energy costs have been reduced by an average of 20 percent, and management costs have been reduced by an average of 50 percent. The data generated during the process can be fed back to the autonomous driving technology, so that the technology continues to iterate and improve.

In the future, the company will continue to optimize the bulk freight scenario in Ordos, expand the scale of operations, build a huge network of unmanned freight, expand to the whole country, and create a new landmark for global autonomous freight transportation.

So far, KargoBot has a self-operated fleet of nearly 300 vehicles and has carried out intelligent network tests in Beijing and Inner Mongolia as well as regular tests and operations in North China and Northwest China. With a total weight of more than 60 million metric tons of bulk freight, the L4-level autonomous truck fleet has achieved a total mileage of more than 9 million kilometers.
