Theme Ⅰ: Warm City

The theme "Warm City" focuses on the city of Ordos itself, aiming to showcase its unique charm through micro short dramas and short videos.

This theme encourages creators to dig deeper into Ordos' urban culture, natural scenery, social landscape, and the harmony and inclusiveness of the city's development.

Urban Culture: Tell stories of Ordos' history, traditional festivals, folk customs and more to convey the city's rich cultural heritage and unique cultural charm.

Natural Scenery: Capture the magnificent natural scenery of Ordos, such as vast grasslands, magnificent deserts, and clear lakes, to convey the city's natural beauty.

Social Landscape: Document the daily lives of Ordos residents to highlight the warmth and mutual support among individuals and to illustrate the harmony and inclusiveness inherent in urban development.

Urban Development: Compare the transformation of new and old urban areas to showcase the achievements of Ordos' modernization and the potential for future development. 

Theme Ⅱ: Warm Hearts

The theme "Warm Hearts" emphasizes the emotional connections and warmth among people and aims to convey kindness, friendship, and mutual assistance through micro short dramas and short videos.

This theme encourages creators to tell authentic and touching stories and to spread positivity and warmth.

Family: Record the care and support between family members to convey the warmth and strength of familial bonds.

Friendship: Tell stories of genuine friendship and mutual support to convey the preciousness of friendship.

Love: Portray the sweetness and understanding between couples to convey the warmth and beauty of love.

Theme Ⅲ: Warm World

The theme "Warm World" expands the perspective to a global scale, aiming to show the connections and exchanges between Ordos and various parts of the world through micro short dramas and short videos and to convey warmth and positive energy globally. This theme encourages creators to start from Ordos and tell touching stories that transcend national boundaries, cultures, and languages.

Cultural Exchanges: Document the cooperation and achievements in cultural exchange between Ordos and various parts of the world to convey the harmonious coexistence of diverse cultures.

International Cooperation: Tell of the contributions and achievements of Ordos in international cooperation projects to convey Ordos' international influence and sense of responsibility.

Global Perspective: Tell stories of Ordos citizens or tourists traveling around the world, showing moments of warmth and care between humans from different cultural backgrounds.

Entry requirements

1. Entries should convey positive energy, reflect social progress and humanistic care, and steer clear of lowbrow, violent and other inappropriate content. They should focus on forging a sense of the Chinese nation as one community, emphasize elements of Chinese culture, highlight North Frontier culture, and portray the history, culture, social development, and daily lives of the people of Ordos.

2. Entries should exhibit high production quality, in terms of photography, editing, sound effects, and actor performances. We advocate for the use of innovative narrative techniques, applications of AIGC technology, and diverse presentation forms to elevate both the work's originality and the viewing experience.

3. Entries should adhere to the principles of international communication, considering the reactions of global audiences. They should incorporate diverse international perspectives, foster cross-cultural exchanges and understanding, and promote the creation of outstanding works through collaborative production between Chinese and foreign entities.

4. There is no restriction on the language of entries. Entries in any language are welcomed; however, submissions in foreign languages are required to include both bilingual subtitles and a descriptive text to ensure they can be properly evaluated.

5. Entries must be original and created by the participating team or the individual participant, with explicit consent from both parties. There should be no disputes regarding intellectual property rights, and the participating team or individual participant shall assume full responsibility for any consequences arising from infringement.

6. The format of entries should conform to the technical standards outlined in the competition guidelines, requiring a resolution of 1920x1080 (16:9) and a minimum bit rate of 8 Mbps. We highly encourage submissions of ultra-high-definition works with a bit rate of at least 15 Mbps, and we accept lossless file formats such as MPG, MPEG, AVI, MOV, WMV, and MP4.

Please ensure that any identifying information is removed or obscured within the work; however, voice-over subtitles may be retained. Prior to submission, please convert your animated work into a universally accepted video format such as AVI or MP4, and submissions in FLV or other animation-specific formats will not be accepted.

The file naming format should be "Category of subject (Short video, Micro short drama creative script, or Finished micro short drama) + Entry title + Creative team + Contact information", and the email should be labeled as "Ordos Micro Short Drama/Short Video Selection and Broadcasting Activity".

Application materials 

1. Three hard copy of Entry Registration Form stamped with seal, and two electronic copies (one Document version before stamping, and one scanned PDF version after stamping). 

2. Two sets of signed authorization confirmation forms and commitment forms – one hard copy stamped with seal and one electronic copy as a scanned PDF after stamping.

3. A complete broadcast version of the submitted work in digital format (file name should indicate the title and episode number, such as "Title" Episode X). Additionally, please store all your submitted works on a portable hard drive or USB drive (with a label attached indicating the titles).

4. A highlight reel of the submitted work in MP4 format, ideally no longer than 30 seconds; two posters (one horizontal, the other vertical) and 5-10 still images of the work, all in JPG format and each image no smaller than 3MB.

5. All materials should be submitted to Ordos Converged Media Advertising Co by unified submission or mailing. The materials will not be returned, please back up before submission.

Selection committee

Experts and scholars from mainstream media, professional colleges, and major television and radio stations, as well as renowned producers, directors, short video influencers, and outstanding actors.

Promotion platforms

The event will be fully promoted to a broad audience through authoritative and influential mainstream media platforms so as to ensure full media coverage both online and offline and to attract widespread attention.

To effectively promote selected works in every corner of the world and a broader audience, we will fully utilize video platforms such as iQiyi, Youku, Tencent, Mango TV, bilibili, Xigua Video, and Migu Video, as well as social media platforms such as Weibo, WeChat, Douyin, Kuaishou, and Xiaohongshu.

Last but not least, we, the Ordos Converged Media Center, will make the most of our own resources and strengths, and give full publicity to the event from all perspectives through various methods, both online and offline, so as to further expand the event's visibility and influence.
