A cattle breeding base operated by Jiayuan Ecological Development Co has been established in Eerhetu, Otog Banner, Ordos, southwestern Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The project has two phases, with a total investment of 20.44 million yuan ($2.90 million). The first phase has achieved a 500-head cattle breeding capacity, and the second phase is expected to breed 2,000 cattle.
The base follows a "base + cooperatives + large-scale farmers" model, with Eerhetu village at the center, driving the development of the surrounding beef cattle industry. It provides farmers with male and female cattle breeds, artificial insemination services, technical guidance, professional training, and feeder cattle procurement services.
The goal is to establish a mutually beneficial industrial chain or cluster between the enterprise, farmers, and herders within three to five years, increasing farmers' and herders' income while enhancing corporate efficiency.
