Ordos Chiscite Elevator Co has been approved to build its elevator manufacturing project in Dalad Economic Development Zone of Dalad Banner, Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The project will break ground in September and make Ordos Chiscite the first elevator manufacturer in Inner Mongolia.

Dalad Banner introduced the project at an investment attraction meeting in Sichuan province at the end of 2023 through a contract with Sichuan Chiscite Elevator Co. The company, founded in 2014, is an elevator manufacturer that converges research and development, design, production, sales, installations, and after-sales maintenance.

Over the years, it has won over 40 honorary titles, including "National High-tech Enterprise" and "Enterprise Technology Center in Mianyang City", and obtained 11 invention patents and 37 utility model patents. With an annual production capacity of 20,000 elevators, its sales rank first among elevator manufacturers in Sichuan.

"Dalad Banner enjoys prominent location advantages and convenient transportation and logistics. Moreover, there are no elevator manufacturers in Inner Mongolia, indicating a market with great potential for us. Hence, our company and Dalad Banner have jointly accelerated the project's progress," said Hong Qilu, general manager of Sichuan Chiscite's strategic investment center.

The project is divided into two phases, each costing half of the total investment of 130 million yuan ($18.24 million). The first phase is expected to take three months and will renovate existing plants to construct a painting and bending production line and a counterweight workshop.

The second phase will start construction in April 2025. The construction work includes an intelligent production line, a training center, an intelligent monitoring center, and a test tower. The ultimate goal is to build a comprehensive, modern, and environmentally friendly elevator manufacturing base.

"Upon completing the painting and bending production line, we can ship sheet material and components from our parent company, assemble them, and then deliver products to market. When the second phase is completed, we can purchase materials from local markets and achieve independent production. We expect to produce 500 elevators in the first year," said Hong.

Once the project starts operating, various products can be produced in Ordos, such as passenger elevators, freight elevators, and escalators. Supported by the parent company's propriety technology of "elevator installation on existing buildings + steel structure", Ordos Chiscite can provide Dalad Banner and surrounding areas with products and services related to adding elevators to old buildings. By producing high-quality elevators locally, the project can contribute to regional development and improve people's livelihoods.

The company will further cooperate with Dalad Banner by venturing into new businesses, such as staff training and smart control of elevator clusters, to ensure a win-win situation for the company and the city.
