The 2024 Kangbashi National Fitness Aquatic Sports Week, hosted by the Kangbashi district government of Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and organized by the Kangbashi district education and sports bureau alongside Inner Mongolia Deep Dive Sports Co, with cooperation from the district's Youth Development Research Center and Kangbashi Culture and Tourism Investment Group, took place from July 29 to August 4.
This week-long event encompassed two main components: "Aquatic Sports Experiences and Training Sessions" and "Rowing and Canoeing Competitions". Throughout the event, the public was able to freely try out and learn about aquatic sports such as dragon boat racing, rowing, and canoeing. In addition, organized competitions were held to provide a platform for citizens to actively engage in these water-based activities.
The primary goal of the event was to reinforce the principles of competitive sports and national fitness, inspiring citizens to participate widely in sports, embrace the joy of physical activity, and engage in a healthy lifestyle.
Using aquatic sports as a medium, the event aimed to disseminate a positive sports culture through high-level rowing and canoeing competitions, ultimately contributing to the creation of a harmonious society.
