On August 1, a drone performance and fireworks show was staged over the night sky of Ulan Mulun Lake in Kangbashi district, Ordos to celebrate Army Day.
As night fell, 1,000 drones rose up slowly to pose in various formations, such as fighter jets and aircraft carriers, as well as slogans of the PLA and other sentences that symbolize people's emotional attachment to the army.

Then, the atmosphere of the jubilee culminated with the ensuing fireworks show. With 28,560 rounds of display shells set off – 24,000 one inch in diameter and 4,560 larger than average, the show met first-level technique standards for setting off fireworks. The fireworks forming flowers, colorful clouds and a magnificent waterfall brought a sparkling radiance to the entire city with their warm glow.
