Recently, a train carrying 51 standard containers with a total of 1,326 metric tons of wheat bran pellets returned from Kazakhstan to Xinjie Station in Ejin Horoo Banner, Ordos, in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, after a nine-day journey, marking the first ever China-Europe return freight train in Ordos.

At 9 am on June 7, heavy-duty trucks carrying the wheat bran pellets passed through the customs declaration and entered the Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

This signified an integrated connection between the comprehensive bonded zone's tax advantages and the convenient transportation advantages of China-Europe freight train, thus contributing to the development of the Central Asian economic corridor for "two-way exchanges and interconnection" with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

In April of this year, the first China-Europe freight train in Ordos was successfully dispatched. The train, loaded with over 200 tons of automotive parts and daily necessities, departed for Almaty, Kazakhstan, via the western route, thereby officially opening up the western passage of China-Europe freight trains in Ordos.

The smooth entry of goods from the China-Europe freight train into the zone not only solves the problem of empty container return for the China-Europe and Central Asia freight trains in Ordos city, but also helps foreign trade enterprises in the city to further reduce their transportation costs and shorten the transportation cycle of goods while enjoying the benefits of early tax refunds, bonded tax exemptions, and other bonded zone policies.
