Cranes and various machinery, along with over 200 workers, are toiling away day and night at the construction site of the Ordos Modern Coal Chemical Innovation Technology Pilot Base in Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The base, located in the Tuke area of the Sulige Economic Development Zone, involves a total investment of 450 million yuan ($61.64 million). As the first innovative technology pilot base in Inner Mongolia, it is capable of accommodating 35 projects for pilot experiments simultaneously and cultivating over 10 coal chemical technological innovation enterprises. It is expected to bolster industrial project investment to over 30 billion yuan. To date, four pilot project agreements have been successfully signed.

Next, the base will continue to provide excellent supply and demand docking services for pilot projects, strengthen cooperation with research and development institutions such as the Ordos Laboratory and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and attract innovative enterprises from domestic and foreign sub-sectors. It will strive to implement more than three pilot projects this year, helping cultivate innovative industrial chains and future industries.
