Work on a potato processing zero-carbon circular industry project commenced on May 27 in Jirigalangtu town, Hanggin Banner, Ordos.
With a total investment of about 4.8 billion yuan ($662.40 million), the project follows the national requirements for "zero-carbon" industry construction. It will adopt the most advanced technologies and equipment on the market, aiming to become the largest and first zero-carbon potato powder processing plant.
Upon completion, the project will process 300,000 metric tons of potatoes annually and produce 60,000 tons of potato powder, with the annual output value expected to reach 1 billion yuan.
The project is an important measure to promote rural vitalization and modern agriculture, while also laying a solid foundation for promoting the high-quality development of local modern agriculture.
