Land for Ordos GD Power Runyang's 500,000-kilowatt Green Power Supply Project in Shanghaimiao Economic Development Zone was approved by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Government on May 17.
The project, funded and constructed by GD Power Inner Mongolia Otog Front Banner Smart Power Generation Co, is located in Aole Zhaoqi town and Shanghaimiao town in Otog Front Banner and has a total land area of 9.23 hectares.
It has a planned installed capacity of 500,000 kW, including 300,000 kW of wind power and 200,000 kW of photovoltaic power, and a distribution energy storage of 115,000 kW/460,000 kWh, accounting for 23 percent (4 hours) of the installed capacity.
With a total investment of 2.74 billion yuan ($378.34 million), a 220-kilovolt booster station, a comprehensive building, and related supporting facilities will be built.
As a green power supply project, this project makes full use of renewable energy for power generation, which is in line with China's green energy transformation and diversified energy consumption structure.
