Since the winter of 2023, Ordos has been fully exploiting its regional resource advantages and continuously increasing the supply of ice and snow sports services to meet the diverse needs of the public. 

Efforts have been made to develop winter tourism products, with a focus on upgrading ice and snow-themed tourist attractions and launching six high-quality winter ice and snow tourism routes.

The city has organized over 60 themed activities, aiming to make winter tourism in Ordos "hot" and "popular".

New products such as "ice plus sports," "ice plus driving", and "ice plus cultural performances" have been developed to attract tourists and enhance public participation and experience. For example, the Jiucheng Palace Tourist Area has introduced ice and snow light shows in caves, and the Kangbashi district has organized an ice and snow hiking activity.

Various ski resorts have set up activities such as snow poker, snow horse racing, snow archery, snowball fights, snow football and ice skating, combining regional characteristics with the uniqueness of ice and snow sports, attracting visitors to come and play.

The Ordos Education and Sports Bureau has promoted ice and snow sports as a key part of integrating sports and education. They have organized a sports themed winter camp, offering free skiing and martial arts training to over 200 young people in the city.

The city has launched cultural and tourism subsidy activities to promote consumption in scenic areas and the self-driving tourism market, driving over 20 million yuan in cultural and tourism consumption.
