Located in Dongsheng district, the Ordos Wildlife Park, a national 4A level scenic spot, covers an area of 12 square kilometers and is the largest wildlife park in northwest China. It boasts the most diversified animal species and serves as home to the Giant Panda in the northwest region.
With the theme of "a planet of animals, back to nature", the park is divided into four zones – the Education Zone, the Rain Forest Zone, the African Zone and the Asian Zone.
At the park, you can see various kinds of animals at 31 spots, including pandas, giraffes, tigers, and gorillas, with a total number exceeding 2,000 in more than 1,700 species.
A combination of outdoor display areas and indoor living spaces offers opportunities for tourists to get close to animals.
On September 26, 2016, the park welcomed the giant pandas "Qi Qiao" and "Qi Xi", adding a new tourist attraction to Inner Mongolian tourism.
The park also exhibits over 15 domestic and overseas species of wolves ,with their population totalling more than 500.
