Kangbashi district is a national 4A scenic spot featuring a city area with the theme of "leisure and resort", and is the political and cultural center of Ordos. Kangbashi district boasts a beautiful environment, fresh air, reasonable layout, and pleasant scenery.

Attractions here include cultural squares, theme parks, museums, ancient sites, urban landscape lake and cultural buildings. The district enjoys seven themed squares, namely, the Genghis Khan Square, the Twin-horse Square, the Sun Square, the Mongolian Chess Square, the Prairie Love Plaza, the Food Plaza, and the Vision Square. Additionally, Kangbashi district also has several cultural buildings: the Ordos International Conference and Exhibition Center, the Ordos News Center, the Ordos Grand Theatre, the Ordos Museum, and the Ordos Library. It boasts four theme parks: the Asian Sculpture Art Theme Park, the Kangbashi Central Park, the Qingchunshan Park, and the Prairie Arts and Culture Park.

It is also home to three museums: the Ordos Museum, the Ordos Geological Museum, and the Exhibition Hall of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Tourists can find other attractions like the Eke Ovoo, the Silu Village, the Wulanmulun Heritage Site, the Wulanmulun Landscape Lake, the Ordos Wedding Park, the National Unity Park, the Ordos Motorsport City, and the Qianting Mountain.
