Peking University Affiliated High School launched its Ordos campus on Aug 19, marking the institution's first branch school in western China.

This campus, jointly established by Peking University and the Ordos municipal and Ejin Horoo Banner governments, is designed to serve as a flagship model of Beijing–Inner Mongolia educational collaboration. It will be integrated into the affiliated high school's core management system, maintaining close academic and operational alignment with the main campus in the capital.

The inaugural ceremony and fall semester opening event took place in Ejin Horoo Banner, featuring student performances, speeches by officials and school representatives, and a recitation by the incoming class. The campus will offer a continuous education pathway from kindergarten through senior high school.

Local authorities in Ejin Horoo Banner have prioritized educational development in recent years, exploring innovative schooling models. The introduction of the Peking University affiliate is expected to elevate the quality of basic education across the region, addressing long-standing gaps between urban and frontier areas.
