This ambitious project involves the construction of 10 500-kV lines, stretching a total of 387 kilometers, and is slated for completion and operation by August 2027.

Upon completion, the project will facilitate the direct transmission of 12 million kilowatts of clean electricity from the Kubuqi Desert's renewable energy base to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area. This will ensure a stable supply of green power to North China, supporting the nation's transition towards a low-carbon energy future.

The project is a critical component of China's West-to-East Power Transmission strategy. It also represents a landmark effort in Inner Mongolia's enhancement of its ultra-high voltage grid and the establishment of renewable energy export channels.

Furthermore, the project aligns with the national "Two Points and Three Channels" energy layout framework, reinforcing the region's status as a key national energy and strategic resource base.
